2 New Practitioners!

It’s been a super busy and abundant year and I honestly couldn’t be more grateful to all of you for allowing me to be your practitioner and for supporting my business.

In order to serve my patients needs, my business partner Tiffany and I decided to bring on 2 incredible practitioners that are now treating at Woodberry Wellness.  We couldn’t be luckier to have found the perfect practitioners to join our team and we can’t wait for you to get treatment from them to reap the benefits!

Meet Jackson Miller M.Ac. L.Ac.

Jackson Miller, a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Maryland, earned his Master’s degree from Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly Tai Sophia). While attending Maryland University of Integrative Health, Jackson worked as an acupuncture clinical intern at the Natural Care Center, where he refined his skills in acupuncture theory and Asian body works.

He has a loving bedside manner, is an excellent listener and is gifted in asking questions that get right to the root of whatever issue you are facing. He specializes in Women’s Health, Fertility, LGBTQ health and Pain Management.

Receiving acupuncture from him is truly a gift and after searching high and low we couldn’t be happier to find such an amazing acupuncturist to join our team!  He is treating Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 4-8pm.

Meet Kristine Southern Shaw MTCM L.Ac.

Kristine Shaw Southern, L.Ac. received her Master of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture with an emphasis in integrative sports medicine from Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, CA in 2013. As a post-grad, she earned a certificate of apprenticeship in Sports Medicine and Pain Management Acupuncture with Whitfield Reaves, L.Ac.

Before joining the Woodberry Wellness team, Kristine maintained a busy private practice in Ithaca, New York.  She successfully treats a variety of conditions, including: musculoskeletal disorders, myofascial and trigger point pain, neurological and degenerative conditions, autoimmune conditions, digestive issues, stress and mood disorders such as anxiety, depression and insomnia, and women’s health including menopausal and fertility issues.

Kristine is an extremely talented and experienced practitioner and we feel so lucky that she is on our team!  She is treating Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 4-8pm.

New Treatment Room!

Last weekend we moved some rooms around and I will now to treating in the front room (now known as the Sun Room because of the giant beautiful window!)  I can’t wait for you all to see the new space.  I hope you love it as much as I do!

Acupuncture for Allergies

Speaking of treatment, I’m noticing tons of patients having allergy problems.  Obviously it’s that time of year, but did you know I can help with that!?  I use a combination of Acupuncture, Cupping, Gua Sha and Chinese Herbal Remedies to help clear and prevent allergy symptoms.  Cool Right!?  So get on the books and rely less on those meds 🙂
